This is an example letter (with integrated drafting notes) that could be used to explain the implications of a Part 36 offer made before 6 April 2015 by the claimant to your client, where your client is the defendant.

The letter is drafted on the basis of certain assumptions that are set out in the drafting notes. It is important to read the drafting notes as you will need to adapt the letter if these assumptions do not apply.
