A sample policy that can be used by an importer of goods into the US to memorialize senior management's commitment to ensuring that the company's international supply chain is free of forced labor. The policy addresses compliance with 19 U.S.C. § 1307, which prohibits the importation of goods into the US made wholly or in part with forced labor, including forced or indentured child labor. Section 1307 is enforced by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) operational directorate. CBP and ICE are agencies within the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The policy includes a description of forced labor compliance responsibilities and due diligence measures.
