This update provides an overview of the temporary statutory relief from insolvent trading introduced by the federal Parliament in response to the outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which commenced on 25 March and ceased on 31 December 2020 (in most cases). It also explains the temporary extension of this relief for eligible small businesses from 1 January to 31 March 2021.
