Current assets

Assets that are expected to be converted to cash or another asset or otherwise used up within the longer of:
  • 12 months from the date of a company's balance sheet.
  • One operating cycle of the company.
Cash, debtors, stock, temporary investments and work in progress are examples of current assets.
The amount of current assets is used to determine a company's working capital.
