The Ministry of Finance, China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission and other administrative agencies have created a one-year pilot project beginning 1 May 2018 for individuals in Shanghai, Fujian Province and Suzhou Industrial Park to enjoy deferred income tax treatment in relation to the purchase of commercial pension insurance policies.
