Human rights clause (short form) | Practical Law

A short form human rights clause for inclusion in contracts for goods or services and drafted to protect the interests of the customer. It imposes an obligation on the supplier to comply with human rights laws and respect human rights, but it does not have all the protections that can be found in our alternative long form of the clause, see Standard clause, Human rights clause (long form). The clause is intended to be used where the due diligence or general risk profile of the contract reveals a low risk of potential human adverse human rights impacts arising (for example, because of the location, industry, or lack of complicated supply chain).
