The outbreak of 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) sparked a heightened interest in virtual and hybrid meetings of shareholders. This Practice Note explains the ground rules for these meetings which are referred to as telephonic or electronic meetings under the Ontario Business Corporations Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. B.16 (OBCA).
