A Practice Note explaining how to enforce arbitral awards in Alaska federal and state courts. This Note explains the procedure for confirming an arbitration award in Alaska and the grounds on which a party may challenge enforcement under Alaska and federal law, including the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, the Federal Arbitration Act, and the Alaska arbitration statute. This Note also briefly explains the procedure for vacating, modifying, or correcting an arbitral award in Alaska.
