Renewable Energy Bill published | Practical Law

The Renewable Energy Bill has been published pending its second reading in the House of Commons scheduled for 15 April 2005. The Bill establishes a scheme allowing for electricity produced by domestic microgeneration to be sold; for small renewable energy developments to be classed as permitted development and to provide a "renewables obligation" for public suppliers of energy other than electricity suppliers.

The Renewable Energy Bill has been published pending its second reading in the House of Commons scheduled for 15 April 2005.
