The Colombian Constitutional Court has considered whether the first paragraph of Article 37 of Law 1563 of 2012, according to which any party that guarantees an obligation under a contract containing an arbitration agreement shall be bound by an award from a domestic arbitration tribunal, is in compliance with the Colombian Constitution.
