This standard document is a tenants' notice to compel the grant of a new tenancy by a superior landlord under section 12C of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 (LTA 1987). It is given by the requisite majority of qualifying tenants to the superior landlord where the original landlord surrenders a relevant tenancy in breach of the LTA 1987. The notice requires the superior landlord to grant the tenants a new tenancy on the same terms as the tenancy that was surrendered, with modifications if necessary.
