A Practice Note explaining how to enforce arbitral awards in Montana state and federal courts. This Note explains the procedure for confirming an arbitration award in Montana and the grounds on which a party may challenge enforcement under Montana and federal law, including the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA), and Montana arbitration law. This Note also briefly explains the procedure for vacating, modifying, or correcting an arbitral award in Montana.
