This note introduces the FCA and PRA training and competence requirements. It outlines the regime, explaining which firms must comply with what aspects of the regime. This includes high-level requirements in the Senior Management Arrangements, Systems and Controls sourcebook (SYSC), as well as more specific requirements for certain retail firms in the FCA's Training and Competence sourcebook (TC). It also outlines the FCA's supervisory approach to training and competence in regulated firms.
