This Note explains the procedure for confirming an arbitration award in Puerto Rico and the grounds on which a party may challenge enforcement under Puerto Rican and federal law, including the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA), and Puerto Rican arbitration law. This Note also briefly explains the procedure for vacating, modifying, and correcting an arbitral award in Puerto Rico.
