US Green Building Council (USGBC)

A prominent membership-based non-profit organization that promotes the development, design, and operation of green, energy-efficient buildings through various programs, initiatives, and classes. The USGBC is best known for its creation and development of the internationally-recognized Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system. Its membership is comprised of nearly 20,000 corporations, organizations, and individuals.
