A note designed to inform lawyers practising in areas other than data protection about the retained EU law version of the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) (UK GDPR) and to give them an introduction to how the UK GDPR may impact their practice area. The note also explains the interface between the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018).
