A case study based on an application to the English court, under section 17 of the English Arbitration Act 1996, for an order by one party to set aside the appointment of an arbitrator as sole arbitrator, together with a cross-application by the other party for an order confirming the appointment of the arbitrator under section 18 of the English Arbitration Act 1996, or for further directions. The case study consists of claim forms, an acknowledgement of service form and witness statements, each with accompanying drafting notes.
