Office of Fair Trading (OFT).

The organisation that was set up to police competition legislation and to protect the rights of consumers in the UK. The OFT was closed down on 31 March 2014 and its responsibilities were transferred to a number of different bodies, including the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
