The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) has invited public comment on Chapter 400 of the TTAB Manual of Procedure (TBMP), which relates to discovery. The TTAB has also revised its FAQs to address electronic filing and case management.
On September 3, 2014, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) invited public comments and suggestions on Chapter 400 of the TTAB Manual of Procedure (TBMP), which relates to discovery. The discussion is live on the TTAB's IdeaScale website.
The TTAB also announced that it has updated and reorganized its online Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. The changes primarily reflect the TTAB's increased emphasis on electronic filing and case management systems. The changes include:
  • A new section entitled "Filing Papers Electronically with the TTAB."
  • Updating multiple FAQ answers to add information on how to use electronic resources, such as recommending the TTABVue system.
