The CML was a trade association for mortgage lenders in the UK, which existed to provide a service to mortgage lending institutions by helping to establish and maintain a favourable operating environment in the residential mortgage and housing related markets in the UK. On 1 July 2017, the CML was integrated into a new trade association,UK Finance.
