The Eddington Transport Study | Practical Law

The Eddington Report, Transport's role in sustaining the UK's productivity and competitiveness was published on 1 December 2006. The Report recommends that the Government should make significant reforms to the planning process for strategic transport infrastructure schemes to improve efficiency and predictability without compromising fairness. In particular, a new Independent Planning Commission should be established to take decisions on projects of strategic importance.
