Greece ratified the European Patent Convention 2000 (revised EPC) on 13 December 2005. Since Greece is the fifteenth contracting state to ratify or accede to the revised EPC, in accordance with Article 8 of the Act revising the European Patent Convention, the revised EPC will enter into force by 13 December 2007, or on the first day of the third month following ratification by the last contracting state, if this takes place earlier (see also Legal update, UK ratifies revised European Patent Convention).
