Jackson Lewis: Hawaii Becomes First State to Enact $18 Minimum Wage | Practical Law

Hawaii's minimum wage will reach that point gradually, increasing to $12.00 per hour on October 1, 2022, $14.00 per hour on January 1, 2024, $16.00 per hour on January 1, 2026, and $18.00 per hour on January 1, 2028. Also, the tip credit an employer in Hawaii may take for tipped employees will increase from the current 75 cents per hour to $1.00 per hour on October 1, 2022, $1.25 per hour on January 1, 2024, and $1.50 per hour on January 1, 2028.
