US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced on its website that employers should continue using the current version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, even after the form's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) control number expires on August 31, 2012. All US employers must complete and maintain a Form I-9 for all individuals hired to work in the US. USCIS is currently revising the Form I-9 (see Legal Update, USCIS Requests Comments on Revised Form I-9).
