On 18 April 2012, the Republic of South Sudan deposited with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) an Instrument of Ratification of the ICSID Convention. In accordance with Article 68(2), the Convention will come into force for South Sudan on 18 May 2012. This will bring the number of states that have ratified the Convention to 148.
