This Note discusses the requirements of GDPR Article 12, which apply to providing information to and communicating with data subjects and summarizes key issues including the elements of transparency, acceptable methods of communicating with data subjects, timing requirements for providing information notices to data subjects, providing updated notices, and exceptions when notice is not required.
