This practice note is no longer maintained. Home Information Packs (HIPs) were formally abolished on 15 January 2012 by section 183 of the Localism Act 2011. This practice note explains, for historic interest only, the duties on sellers and estate agents before HIPS were suspended on 21 May 2010.
