The UK government, Bank of England and the regulatory authorities have taken a number of measures to support the banks and the interbank lending market during the current financial crisis. The purpose of this note is to highlight the chronological developments relating to one of the central pieces of this stability package: the Bank of England's Asset Purchase Facility.
