Authorised contractual schemes (ACSs) (previously referred to as tax transparent funds) can be established as limited partnerships or co-ownership schemes. They were introduced in 2013 to facilitate the establishment of UCITS master funds. This practice note discusses the tax treatment of ACSs and their investors.
