Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) (香港国际仲裁中心)

An arbitration institution in Hong Kong set up in 1985. HKIAC is governed by the HKIAC Council, which is made up of members of the Hong Kong business and professional communities. The day-to-day administration of arbitrations is undertaken by the HKIAC secretariat. HKIAC provides administrative support for ad hoc arbitrations in addition to administering arbitrations under the HKIAC Rules. It also acts as an appointing authority under the Hong Kong Arbitration Ordinance (Cap 341), where the parties or arbitrators cannot agree on the appointment of an arbitrator in a Hong Kong seated arbitration.
