Consumer protection: European Commission adopts Report on application of Directive 98/27/EC on injunctions for the protection of consumers' interests | Practical Law

On 6 November 2012, the European Commission, adopted a Report on the application of Directive 98/27/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 May 1998 on injunctions for the protection of consumers' interests. This Directive introduced a Court or administrative procedure enabling consumer organisations and/or authorities to seek an injunction to stop a trader's practice that infringes EU law.
