Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer PC is a full service law firm providing legal services to businesses and individuals throughout New England and nationally from offices in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Washington, DC.
The firm offers deep expertise in a wide range of areas to meet all of a client's legal needs now and in the future. Primmer emphasizes teamwork within the firm and between clients and attorneys to establish long-term relationships and realize long-term success. Primmer takes a collaborative approach to provide the best, most efficient and cost-effective legal team to address a client's legal needs.
Primmer created its appellate group to provide perspective that may be different than that offered by trial counsel to firm clients and to lawyers with outside appellate referrals. Our appellate group provides consultation to firm clients and outside attorneys and their clients regarding the advantages or disadvantages associated with a potential appeal. We also offer assistance with legal research, brief writing, and oral argument.
Experience is important when pursuing an appeal. As a group we have handled over 200 appeals to the Vermont and New Hampshire Supreme Courts in such areas as real estate, public utility, environmental, family, insurance, tort and commercial litigation. In addition, we handle appeals in the federal system and our appellate attorneys are licensed to appear in the First, Second, Third, Fifth, Sixth, Ninth, and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. In addition to handling regular appeals in the federal courts, our attorneys have unique and extensive experience handling less common aspects of federal appellate litigation, including amicus curiae briefs before the Circuit Courts and United States Supreme Court, and Petitions for Certiorari and Oppositions to Petitions for Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court. Our collective clerkship experience at the appellate court level contributes to our understanding of effective appellate advocacy.
