A type of EU secondary legislation that supplements or amends certain non-essential elements of a parent legislative act of general application. A delegated act is adopted by the European Commission under powers delegated to it by the Council and European Parliament to it in the parent act (Article 290 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU).
