A Practice Note providing an overview of actions the US may take to address unfair trade practices by foreign governments or companies, or import levels that seriously injure a US industry or raise national security concerns. They include traditional trade remedies, such as antidumping duties (AD), countervailing duties (CVD), Section 337 exclusion orders, and Section 201 safeguard measures, as well as Section 301 unfair trade practice proceedings, Section 122 balance-of-payment proceedings, actions in response to foreign currency manipulation, Section 232 national security actions, and actions under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977 (IEEPA) and the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917 (TWEA).
