A Checklist outlining the key steps and considerations for counsel preparing to defend and defending a witness in a deposition in which some or all participants appear remotely (called a remote or virtual deposition) in an action in the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division, Civil Part or a non-foreclosure action in the Chancery Division, General Equity Part. This Checklist covers reviewing the deposition notice, communicating with the deposing attorney about technology, a protocol, and exhibit sharing, preparing the witness to testify remotely, and defending the witness remotely.
