SAIC issues new rules in relation to intellectual property rights | Practical Law

On 13 April 2015, the Chinese State Administration of Industry and Commerce (SAIC) published new rules on the enforcement of China's Anti-Monopoly Law (AML) in relation to intellectual property rights, entitled "Rules on the Prohibition of Abuses of Intellectual Property Rights for the Purposes of Eliminating or Restricting Competition" (the SAIC Rules). The rules, which will take effect from 1 August 2015, are the first comprehensive set of guidance to regulate IP-related issues under the AML.
