The Department of Labor (DOL) has published two final rules that go into effect on March 24, 2014. The rules update the Vietnam Era Veteran's Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act to improve the hiring and employment of veterans and people with disabilities.
On September 24, 2013, the DOL announced the publication of two final rules relating to the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, applicable to federal contractors and subcontractors. The new regulations, which seek to improve the hiring and employment of veterans and people with disabilities, go into effect on March 24, 2014.
