A side letter that the parties to a commercial or retail lease intend to be legally binding. It can be used for parties who have agreed to a small number of supplementary arrangements in connection with a lease, which do not require a formal variation of the lease (for example, the landlord granting certain rent concessions to the tenant for a limited period of time).
