On December 2, 2013, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that revised Notice of E-Verify Participation and Office of Special Counsel Right to Work posters are now available to be downloaded in English and Spanish. USCIS also announced that it will release new and revised E-Verify Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) on December 8, 2013.
Employers that enroll in E-Verify and complete the online tutorial will be prompted to download, print and post the revised E-Verify Participation and Right to Work posters in English and Spanish. The previous versions of the posters are still acceptable to use. However, in response to customer feedback, USCIS has made the revised versions require less ink to print.
The new and revised MOUs to be released on December 8 are tailored to users of two access methods, the E-Verify browser and Web Services. USCIS has also added updated content to the revised MOUs and has organized them purportedly to be easier to read and understand. Effective December 8, 2013, employers that are new E-Verify users must execute the revised MOU for their access method. Employers that are existing E-Verify users will not be required to execute a revised MOU. However, effective January 8, 2014, existing users of E-Verify will be bound by the revised MOU applicable to their access method.
