A pilot free trade zone located in the Guangdong province of China. Inside the Guangdong FTZ, some aspects of the legal and regulatory regime of the rest of China are varied including among others the regulation and administration of foreign investment and cross-border trade. The Guangdong FTZ comprises three special economic and customs regulation zones, specifically:

The Guangdong FTZ was established with effect from 1 March 1 2015 under the Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Authorizing the State Council to Temporarily Adjust Relevant Administrative Examination and Approval Items Prescribed by Pertinent Laws in the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the Expanded Areas of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone 2014.
