The government has published the hybrid Bill that contains various powers that will enable the construction of Phase One of the new high speed rail line (HS2). The Department for Transport has also published the HS2 Phase One environmental statement for comment.

ADDED: The dealine for responding to the consultation on the HS2 Phase One environmental statement has been extended to 10 February 2014.
