SPC upholds non-bank private lending | Practical Law

The SPC has released a judicial interpretation confirming the validity of non-bank private lending activities. The interpretation also sets up statutory requirements for interest rates and default interest rates applicable to private lending and addresses the extent of P2P lending platforms’ liability to lenders. The interpretation is effective from 1 September 2015.
