The Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Bill has been published and is due to receive its second reading in the House of Commons on 11 November 2005.

The objectives of this Private Members' Bill are to introduce measures to combat climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and to make provision to assist in alleviating fuel poverty and encourage the production of energy through microgeneration and community energy schemes.
