A Checklist for employers to identify and address potential workplace hazards related to COVID-19 according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance, including OSHA guidance on implementing a COVID-19 prevention program. This includes determining occupational exposure to SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing COVID-19, implementing proper engineering controls, administrative controls, safe work practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and more. This Checklist is intended for employers with low or medium exposure risk employees (such as office or retail workers) and is not intended for workplaces with high or very high exposure risk employees (such as health care workers). It addresses COVID-19 specifically but may also be helpful for assessing other biological hazards in the workplace, such as a pandemic flu and other infectious acute respiratory diseases.
