A Practice Note explaining how to draft and serve a response to requests for admissions (RFAs) in a Texas district or county court civil action under Rule 198 of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP). This Note addresses who must respond to RFAs, response deadlines, the types of permitted responses, and how to draft the response, including the caption, introduction, admissions, objections, withholding statements, signature block, and certificate of service. This Note also discusses how to serve the response, and moving to withdraw or amend deemed admissions.
