This Note provides an overview of the legal framework for the prevention and control of occupational diseases in China. It outlines the compliance requirements for employers under the regulatory system of occupational diseases prevention, including preliminary prevention, control and management during work, diagnosis and treatment. This Note also discusses employees' entitlements to work-related injury insurance for occupational diseases and the detailed compensation covered by the insurance fund or borne by employers respectively.
