A release of liability and waiver of claims (also referred to as a liability waiver) to be signed by visitors to commercial establishments, such as office buildings, retail stores, and service facilities, to protect the owner or operator of the commercial establishment against liability for claims of exposure to contagious or infectious diseases during an epidemic, pandemic (such as the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic), or other public health emergency. It contains a covenant not to sue and an acknowledgment of assumption of risk, as well as an optional indemnification.
