The ECJ has given its judgment on questions referred to it by the Belgian and English courts on the interpretation of the old Counterfeit Goods Regulation (1383/2003) and its successor (Regulation 3295/94) in relation to goods that are being held by customs authorities under suspensive procedures.  (Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV v Lucheng Meijing Industrial Company Ltd and others, Nokia Corporation v Her Majesty's Commissioners of Revenue and Customs, Joined cases C-446/09 and 495/09, 1 December 2011.)
