Fintech

An abbreviation for "financial technology," which is the application of technology to increase efficiencies in banking, financial services, and payment systems, often involving partnerships or other developmental arrangements between technology companies (referred to as fintech companies) and traditional banking and financial institutions.
A noteworthy offshoot of fintech is regtech, an abbreviation for "regulatory technology," which focuses on financial regulatory compliance through the use of technology.
