On 7 August 2013, China's National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC) released its highly anticipated decision following its investigation of nine infant formula producers (including Wyeth (Nestle), Dumex (Danone), Mead Johnson, Meiji, Biostime, Beingmate, Abbott, FrieslandCampina and Fonterra) for resale price maintenance (RPM). The NDRC has imposed fines totalling RMB670 million on six of the manufacturers, and granted leniency to three.
